Ikigai Ryu – Logo Design

Ikigai Ryu is a new Martial Arts club.  

Although Ikigai is a modern marial art, it’s roots can be traced back around 1,000 years.  It was, therefore, important to marry the old and new together when creating the logo.

There was a requirement to incorporate the five colours; red, orange, yellow, green and blue within the design, as they each represent an element of Ikigai Ryu.  These five colours were also incorporated within the sub logos.

As the project progressed, it became apparent that there would also be a need for grading badges within the club, so these were also created.
